foundations - connect

If you want to make the most of Mummo, start by connecting with other people ...

individuals

  • Create your own individual profile so that other mums can find out about you. You can choose who’s able to view your information, so that you only share what you feel comfortable to share.
  • Browse other people’s profiles to find friends or contacts in your own geographical area or with similar interests to you. Whatever you’re into, chances are there’ll be another mum who’s into it too, and the beauty of connecting online is that it doesn't matter if you're still in your pyjamas!

groups

  • Join groups of likeminded mums, and/or create a group yourself. It’s easy and fun, and can prove really helpful.

    In your area
Look and see if there’s a Mummo group for your local area and, if there isn’t, why not set one up? Then you can invite all the mums you know nearby and before long you’ll have an invaluable way of keeping in touch, sharing useful information and so on. Think about your friends from antenatal class, your babysitting circle or the other nursery / school mums. Use Mummo to make your own communities.

    For your interest
Or what about setting up a group to do with a particular interest you have, like arthouse films or organic gardening or (heaven forbid we should get too highbrow!) David Beckham? There’s no end of possibilities and, best of all, distance isn’t an issue online!

events

  • Find out what’s going on in your local area and make a point of meeting other mums face-to-face. There’s only so much you can do in the virtual world, and sometimes it’s good to actually see people in the flesh and hear their voices! Equally, if you know of something happening and want to let other mums know, you can add events to our listings for free.
