Have you created your personal profile yet?

If you want to create a personal profile, all you need to do is open your control panel using the tab at the top left-hand side of the screen (just below the white header panel) and then click on the different sections to add / edit information. Hopefully you’ll find completing the sections easy enough, but if you need any help just email support@mummo.co.uk.

You can set a different access level for each section - for example, you might like to make ‘a bit about me’ visible to all Mummo members, but keep ‘where I am today’ for your contacts only and ‘where I’m heading’ private to yourself. It’s entirely up to you.

As they say, “a picture speaks a thousand words”, so if you do nothing else, please consider uploading a photo. It doesn’t have to be a photo of you (although that would be lovely!) - it could perhaps be a picture of you that one of your children has drawn, or just any image that means something to you. It all helps to liven up the site!

Want to feature in the next ‘mummomag’?

If you haven’t already seen it, you might be interested to see a fantastic example (though I do say so myself!) of what we mums can achieve by working together. It’s the very first edition of mummomag, an online magazine created entirely by mums for mums. It was launched on Mothers’ Day 2009 to promote the ‘million mums’ campaign which aims to help prevent women from dying needlessly in pregnancy and childbirth.

We had such fantastic feedback from the thousands of mums who saw the first magazine that we thought we’d do another ... although it’s take us a good six months to summon up the energy! But we’re now planning a second edition to be released on Mothers’ Day 2010, also in support of the ‘million mums’ campaign. If you would like to write an article for inclusion in the magazine, or advertise your business, please get in touch as soon as possible. We’d love you to get involved.

Help us out ... please!

If you haven’t already completed the mummo survey on motherhood, could you spare a couple of minutes to do it right now?! We’re giving 25p to charity for every response, and at the moment the total doesn’t even amount to £25! So please save us from having to write a poxy, embarassingly small cheque and ask all your mum friends to do the survey too. We’re hoping to achieve to raise at least £100 (which means 400 mums completing the survey) and the best bit is that you can have a say in which charity it goes to. Just vote in our poll ...
